PHOENIX, Az. — A mother whose infant son died heard his heartbeat for the first time in almost three years.
Lukas Clark was only 7 months old when he died in June 2013. His mom, Heather Clark, decided to donate his organs to help other kids who were in need. Her decision helped save three lives, including 18-month-old Jordan Drake, who received Lukas’ heart. Jordan’s mom Esther Gonzalez contacted Clark in December to see if they could set up a time to meet.
Donate Life Arizona arranged for the two mothers to meet on Jan. 29 at the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. The moving moment was captured on video.
