Trump, Cruz, Rubio campaigns state their case during Republican meeting

IDAHO FALLS — Hundreds of people from all over Idaho gathered for the annual Region VII Republican Lincoln Day Celebration Saturday night at the Shilo Inn.
A representative from the three leading Republican presidential candidates, Donald Trump, Sen. Ted Cruz, and Sen. Marco Rubio, each addressed the audience.
Idaho Representative Janice McGeachin spoke on behalf of the Donald Trump campaign. McGeachin shared why she thinks the billionaire businessman would be the best man to lead the country.

Pastor Rafael Cruz, the father of Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, spoke on behalf of his son. He encouraged voters to study the records of each candidate rather than just believe their rhetoric.

Melaleuca CEO Frank VanderSloot spoke on behalf of Florida Sen. Marco Rubio. He said he’s endorsing Rubio because, out of all the candidates, the senator has the best chance of beating Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
