Blackfoot police seeking help in hit-and-run case

BLACKFOOT — The Blackfoot Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in trying to identify a vehicle that left the scene of an accident at 1:16 p.m. on Monday.

The vehicle struck an 11-year-old juvenile male who was crossing the street at the intersection of S. Meridian and S. Broadway/U.S. Highway 91, according to a news release. The juvenile did not sustain serious injuries from the accident.

After striking the boy, the vehicle continued south on Highway 91 towards the Fort Hall area.

The department is trying to identify the driver of the vehicle. The vehicle is possibly a newer Dodge Dart.

The driver was described as female and traveling with two dogs in the car.
