Crews responding to ‘horrible’ crash on I-15 near Pocatello

As of 5 p.m., the crash has been cleared and traffic back to normal.

As of 2:20 p.m., Idaho State Police says all northbound lanes in the area of the accident (between exit 71 and exit 80 near Fort Hall) are blocked, and traffic is being diverted.

POCATELLO — Emergency crews are responding to a crash in the northbound lanes of Interstate 15 near the turn-off onto Interstate 86.

The crash happened around 1:30 this afternoon. Witnesses tell EastIdahoNews.com a pick-up truck towing a trailer and ATV’s flipped on its side.

“There are ATV’s scattered on the interstate and traffic is backed for quite a while on I-15 and I-86,” one witness says. “It’s horrible.”

ISP and other emergency crews are on scene. No word on if anyone was injured.

Travelers are encouraged to avoid the area and take alternate routes.
