Disturbance call leads officers to stolen golf cart

IDAHO FALLS — A 27‐year‐old man has been arrested after police say he was in possession of a stolen golf cart.
The stolen cart and a set of golf clubs were rented from the Pinecrest Golf Course around 1 p.m. on Saturday, and neither were returned.
The golf course reported the theft to police Sunday afternoon.
Later that day, the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Officer responded to a disturbance call on the 3500 block of East 17th Street in Ammon. While investigating the disturbance, deputies discovered the stolen golf cart and one of the clubs in the possession Trevor K. Salmon of Idaho Falls.
Salmon was arrested and booked into the Bonneville County Jail for grand theft by possession, a felony, in connection to the stolen golf cart.
On Monday, Salmon’s bail was set at $15,000.
