IDAHO FALLS — A distracted driving campaign making its way across the nation stopped by Snake River Landing in Idaho Falls Wednesday to educate locals.

“No post, no text, no email, no selfie is worth a life,” “It Can Wait” spokesman Christopher Johnson told EastIdahoNews.com. “All it takes is that two second glance and your life can change forever.

Members of the AT&T “It Can Wait” campaign teach the dangers of distracted driving by using a virtual reality simulator.

“We show you first hand the potential deadly consequences that can happen really quickly when you’re not looking at the road,” Johnson said.

The simulator is an interactive experience with the model of a car, virtual reality glasses and noise cancelling headphones.

Johnson said everyone who tried the simulation in Idaho Falls took the “It Can Wait” pledge to keep their eyes on the road and not on their phones. Over 10 million people nationwide have signed the pledge.
