People release names of 2 people hurt in crash on Highway 26

The following is a news release from Idaho State Police.

RIRIE — On Friday, September 9th, 2016, at approximately 9:49 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle injury crash on US 26 at mile marker 350, just south of Ririe.

Carl Zitlau, 75, of Rigby was westbound in a 1973 International farm truck.

Heeon Lee, 29, of Sacramento, California was also westbound in a 2015 Toyota Camry.

Lee crashed into the rear of Zitlau’s slower moving truck.

Lee and her passenger were transported by ground ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.

All occupants were wearing seatbelts. Both lanes of travel were blocked for approximately one hour.
