Unconscious Fan Wakes Up After Tim Tebow’s Prayer

GLENDALE, Ariz. — Tim Tebow’s first game for the Scottsdale Scorpions on Tuesday was one to remember, but not for reasons most would expect. His less than spectacular performance on the field ended in what some are calling a miraculous moment.

Tebow, who went 0-for-3 at the plate, was signing autographs when a fan suffered a seizure and lowered himself to the concrete ground.

According to local ABC affiliate KNXV, the former NFL star turned baseball minor leaguer ran to the side of Berry, reached down, and placed a hand on the sick man as he bowed his head to say a prayer.

Witnesses say seconds after he was touched by Tebow, Berry jolted up and gasped for air, coughing loudly.

“It was a miracle moment that happened there,” a witness, Daniel Kelly, told the Associated Press.

The man remained alert and Tebow waited with him for about 15 minutes before paramedics arrived at Camelback Ranch stadium.

With the team bus waiting, Tebow simply kept talking with the man until the paramedics arrived. He squeezed the man’s hand and told him he would reach out later before finally leaving the field.

“God bless you, buddy,’’ Tebow said.

As Tebow headed for the team bus, fans saluted him.

“That was class,’’ one said.

“God bless you,’’ said another.
