Idaho Falls man arrested for allegedly stealing $8,000 ring from jewelry store

IDAHO FALLS — Idaho Falls Police arrested 29‐year‐old Victor D. Schwartz for grand theft after he allegedly stole an $8,000 ring from Jensen Jewelers Monday afternoon.

Officers responded to the business inside the Grand Teton Mall around 2:30 p.m. for a report of a stolen ring.

Employees said a man took a diamond ring valued at $8,000.

Police say Schwartz, who was carrying a baby in a carseat, took off in a Toyota Highlander. He was later found and arrested at his residence in the 3200 block of First Street.

Schwartz was booked into the Bonneville County Jail. He is expected to appear in court later today.
