BYU-I Student Charged With Rape

REXBURG, Idaho — A Brigham Young University-Idaho student is in jail after being charged with rape.
Police arrested Issah Ajalil Kappiah, 21, on one count of rape and another count of forcible penetration by a foreign object.
Rexburg police Capt. Randy Lewis said the 17-year-old victim was an acquaintance of Kappiah.
The suspect has already been arraigned, and bond is set at $250,000.
