Montana Hunter Knocked Down by Bear

(BUTTE, Mont.) – A Montana hunter has been released from the hospital after a bear attack. Montana wildlife officials say the Billings man was knocked down by the bear Friday afternoon while hunting south of Virginia City. He was transported to EIRMC where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released Saturday. Authorities say there have been three bear attacks in that area in the last 13 months. An investigation is ongoing.
