Ryan McVay/Photodisc/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — The new year begins this weekend, but you won’t find any new movies at your local theater.  There are no new films opening in wide release in the coming days.

Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol was the top movie last weekend and has reportedly earned around $95 million domestically since its release earlier this month.  The other Christmastime releases were The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Adventures of Tintin, We Bought a Zoo, War Horse and The Darkest Hour.
