Ferris Bueller to Return in Super Bowl Ad?
Published at(NEW YORK) — Spoiler alert for those of you looking forward to the Super Bowl commercials: Ferris Bueller will likely make a comeback in one of the new ads.
As seen in a 10-second teaser that’s gone viral, Matthew Broderick, reprising his iconic role from the 1986 comedy Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, is wearing a white robe as he walks over to a window, opens the curtains and says, “How can I handle work on a day like today?”
The clip was posted Thursday on YouTube by a user named chuckachucka2012, a reference to the song “Oh Yeah,” which is featured in the movie.
The teaser ends with a sample of “Oh Yeah” and a graphic that shows the date “2-5-12,” which is when the Super Bowl will air on NBC. The clip never mentions which company is behind it.
A 60-second Super Bowl ad for Audi is also available online. Clearly inspired by Twilight, it shows vampires partying in the woods, until a fellow vampire arrives and accidentally kills them all with the headlights on his car.
Last week, Volkswagen released a teaser for a Super Bowl ad in which dogs bark the “Imperial March” from Star Wars.
