Report: Spagnuolo Will Become Saints Defensive Coordinator
Published at(NEW ORELANS) — Former St. Louis Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo has agreed to become the new defensive coordinator of the New Orleans Saints, according to ESPN.com.
The 52-year-old Spagnuolo was fired by the Rams earlier this month after going 10-38 in three seasons in St. Louis. He will take over for Gregg Williams, who left to join Jeff Fisher in St. Louis.
Spagnuolo was previously a defensive coordinator for the New York Giants, helping lead Big Blue to a victory over New England in Super Bowl 42.
