Air Force Identifies Fallen Pilot

(MOUNTAIN HOME) – The U.S. Air Force has released the name of a Mountain Home fighter pilot who died Wednesday in southwest Asia.  Capt. Francis “Piston” Imlay, a Vacaville, California native, was assigned to the 391st Fighter Squadron and was deployed with the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing.  Imlay’s co-pilot, whose name has not been released, was treated for minor injuries.  Officials are still trying to determine what caused the F-15 to crash.  More than 300 Mountain Home airman are currently deployed in overseas operations.
