(IDAHO FALLS) – After a nearly two year suspension, the U.S. Department of Energy has renewed its efforts to remove radioactive waste at the Idaho National Laboratory. KIDK reports that the remaining 6,900 cubic meters of waste will be treated and sent to a plant in New Mexico. Nearly 90 percent has already been removed, and crews hope to have the rest of the material off the site by September of 2015.
