(POCATELLO) – Two local men are being heralded as heroes for their efforts in saving one of their friends Saturday. The father and son, Rex and Blake Portmann, were in West Yellowstone with Tom Angell when Angell had a heart attack. The Portmanns, who had just completed a CPR class two days before, were able to step in and stabilize him with chest compressions. Angell was airlifted to EIRMC for treatment. The Portmanns work at Portneuf Medical Center, and were getting certified as part of their permit to give horse-guided tours in Yellowstone National Park.
