Pocatello Soldier Wounded in Afghanistan

(POCATELLO, ID)  —  A Pocatello soldier is recovering after losing his legs in an explosion in Afghanistan Sunday.  Twenty-year-old Matthew Krumwiede was on a foot patrol when he was maimed by an improvised explosive device, also suffering a fractured pelvis and a broken arm among other injuries.   Krumwiede was to be transported to a medical center in Germany today where he will recover further before returning to the U.S.
