Stephen Lovekin/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — Savannah Guthrie will replace Ann Curry on NBC’s Today show Friday morning, according to TMZ.  She will be anchoring with Matt Lauer, and they will most likely announce that she has joined the morning team in Curry’s place.

Lauer is scheduled to be on vacation all next week for the holiday, and the network reportedly wants to make the announcement while he’s still there to show a united front.

Curry said goodbye on Thursday.  She will now serve as a natinoal news correspondent for NBC News.
