Texting While Driving Ban Begins July 1st
Published at(IDAHO FALLS, ID) — Idaho’s new law cracking down on texting while driving goes into effect this week. On July 1, Idaho will become the 37th state to prohibit texting and driving. State officials say 192 people were killed in Idaho between 2008 and 2010 due to distracted driving, with another 1,500 seriously injured. Violators of the new law will face an $85 citation.
