(LOS ANGELES) — Auditions for The X Factor in Greensboro, N.C., were halted by producers on Monday because of a storm, reports TMZ.com.
A production truck was struck by lightning as what is described as “a major storm” hit the Greensboro Coliseum Complex. The storm knocked out the complex’s power, killing the lights and contestants’ microphones for 15 minutes.
According to RumorFix, Simon Cowell joked to one of the contestants, “You’re the reason the power went out.”
It is also reported that a loud noise appeared to come from one of the lights, causing judge Britney Spears to “jump out of her seat.”
