(JONESBORO, Ark.) — Former Auburn running back Michael Dyer has been dismissed from the Arkansas State team after violating team rules.
Auburn’s former offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn was hired by the Arkansas State as their head football coach last December. After Dyer was suspended at Auburn indefinitely for violating unspecified team rules before last season’s Chik-fil-A Bowl, he decided to join Malzahn at Arkansas State.
I am truly disappointed that it didn’t work out here at ASU for Mike,” Malzahn said. “I wish Mike nothing but the best in the future.”
Dyer rushed for 1,242 yards and 10 touchdowns last season for Auburn.
