Angels first baseman Kendrys Morales homered from both sides of the plate in the same inning (6th), to become just the third player in Major League Baseball history to accomplish the feat.

As for the rest of the AL: The Baltimore Orioles (54-49) one upped the New York Yankees (60-42), 5-4.

The Boston Red Sox (52-51) tamed the Detroit Tigers (54-49), 7-3.

The Minnesota Twins (44-58) topped the Chicago White Sox (55-47), 7-6.

The Seattle Mariners (48-57) thumped the Toronto Blue Jays (51-51), 4-1.

The Oakland Athletics (56-46) ousted the Tampa Bay Rays (53-50), in 15 innings 4-3.

In the NL:

The San Diego Padres (44-60) pounded the Cincinnati Reds (61-41), 11-5.

The Atlanta Braves (58-44) reeled in the Miami Marlins (47-55), 8-2.

The Chicago Cubs (43-58) crushed the Pittsburgh Pirates (58-44), 14-4.

The Milwaukee Brewers (46-56) edged the Houston Astros (35-69), 8-7.

The Arizona Diamondbacks (52-51) bopped the Los Angeles Dodgers (56-48), 7-2.

The New York Mets (50-53) nipped the San Francisco Giants (55-47) in 10 innings, 8-7.
