Bingham County Considering New Zoning Ordinance

(BLACKFOOT) – Bingham County commissioners are considering a new zoning ordinance that brings in some major changed. Local News 8 reports that the county’s current zoning laws are nearly 30 years old. Commissioner Cleone Jolley says its time to bring things up-to-date by making provisions for things like wind farms, along with guidelines for agricultural and residential subdivisions. Regardless of whether commissioners accept the new draft or not, they say it is inevitable that the county will have to make changes to the current ordinance.
