NASCAR Nationwide Driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Wins Kansas 300
Published at(KANSAS CITY, Kan.) — Defending NASCAR Nationwide champion Ricky Stenhouse Jr. won the Kansas Lottery 300 at the Kansas Speedway on Saturday, after Kyle Busch ran out of gas heading into the final turn.
The 25-year-old Stenhouse got off to a rough start after colliding with Joey Logano, which took him out of the race for repairs. Trailing by two laps, the driver of the number 6 was able to make up ground when the race was extended by six laps because of a late caution flag.
With three races remaining, Stenhouse trails Elliott Sadler by six points in the championship standings.
