Dallas Mavericks/NBA(DALLAS) — Dallas Mavericks forward Shawn Marion will miss at least three games with a sprained MCL in his left knee.

Marion suffered the injury during the Mavericks’ win Monday over the Trail Blazers, when he collided with teammate Elton Brand in the third quarter.

Dallas is now without Marion and forward Dirk Nowitzki, who is recovering from preseason arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.

Marion is averaging eight points, nine rebounds and 3.3 assists per game this season.

Rookie Jae Crowder is expected to take Marion’s place in the starting lineup.
