(POCATELLO) – Eastern Idaho is facing a major snowstorm today.
Residents in American Falls, Blackfoot and the Gate City can expect up to six inches of snow, the largest storm so far this season.
A winter weather advisory is in place until Thursday night. Areas with higher elevations could receive up to a foot of snow, while the Upper Valley can expect four to six inches.
Officials are urging travelers to use caution, particularly on I-15 from Blackfoot to the Utah border and along I-86 from Pocatello to Burley.
