Wolfgang Puck Again Preparing Menu for Post-Oscars Bash
(NEW YORK) — After next month’s Academy Awards ceremony ends, the movie stars on hand will be well-fed by Wolfgang Puck at the Governors Ball, the official post-Oscars bash.
Puck is creating the menu for the celebration for the 19th consecutive year.
He says the items that will be served can range in price, explaining to ABC News Radio, “Truffles are very expensive. …Caviar is expensive. Smoked salmon is reasonably expensive but not too expensive. And then we have a kale artichoke salad, which is really inexpensive but still very tasty.”
Truffles are incorporated into one dish that Puck says is always a favorite among the celebrities.
He says, “One of the things everyone loves is our chicken pot pie with black truffles. People really like it because it’s comfort food and very tasty.”
As for the Oscars ceremony itself, Puck says one of his favorite nominated films is Lincoln.
The 85th Academy Awards, hosted by Seth MacFarlane, will air live from Hollywood on ABC on Feb. 24.
