(BOISE, ID)  — Idaho lawmakers pushing for a new kind of concealed carry permit say they’d like to see Idaho’s permits recognized by more states. The current permits are only valid in a handful of states with reciprocal agreements, but not in states where tougher gun control measures are in place. The new permit would require applicants to enroll in an eight hour class with live-fire training, similar to a typical hunter’s safety course. Supporters say the permits would then be valid in over three dozen states.
