(SALT LAKE CITY, UT)  —  Mixing drinks behind a partition could become a thing of the past in Utah bars and clubs. The barriers, commonly referred to as “Zion Curtains”, went up in 2010 as part of a compromise when lawmakers no longer required bars to operate as members-only social clubs. A new bill would get rid of the partitions completely. Supporters say current laws are confusing and hinder tourists from spending more money in the state.
