Shia LaBeouf Calls Out Alec Baldwin Via Twitter

Mike Marsland/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) — Just one day after Alec Baldwin compared Shia LaBeouf to a “celebrity chef,” the Transformers star shot back by leaking two emails that appear to portray Baldwin as being the one who was unprepared for rehearsals for their Broadway show Orphans.
Ever since LaBeouf exited the play last month, reportedly due to “creative differences,” he has been posting email exchanges on Twitter between himself and director Daniel Sullivan, Baldwin and co-star Tom Sturridge that showed there was more drama happening off stage than on.
This week, LaBeouf was apparently upset about some quotes that Baldwin gave to New York magazine’s Vulture.
When Baldwin was asked about LaBeouf’s tweet in which he wrote, “The theater belongs not to the great but to the brash,” the 30 Rock star responded, “Some of the greatest movie stars had really serious theater careers and still do. And many film actors, though, who are purely film actors, they’re kind of like celebrity chefs…You hand them the ingredients, and they whip it up, and they cook it, and they put it on a plate, and they want a round of applause. In the theater, we don’t just cook the food and serve it.”
LaBeouf must hate to cook, because being compared to a celebrity chef seemed to annoy him. LaBeouf has tweeted an email conversation he had with Sullivan when he was still involved in the play, in which the director informed him that he “thought it was a very good first day” of rehearsal, “even if Alec never looked up” from the script.
LaBeouf also posted some emails that showed he and Baldwin were not getting along very well. Baldwin confessed in the email, “We start Monday. But I’m so f***ing tired.”
LaBeouf responded, “I’m a hustler. I don’t get tired. I’m 26 chief.”
Baldwin snapped back, “Listen, boy. I’m not your f***in’ chief. You got that? Ha. Hahahahaha. Let’s go.”
LaBeouf simply responded, “yes sir,” then forwarded the entire email exchange to Sullivan with the remark, “I think he’s nervous.”
Sullivan wrote back to LaBeouf saying, “I suspect he’s not nearly as prepared as you are. Not unusual at all when actors have a good long rehearsal time like we have. I just don’t want it to throw you. I did a reading of another play once with Alec and about 10 minutes in I thought, ‘Oh, I guess he’s just going to read it.'”
Following his departure from the play, LaBeouf posted onto Twitter a screenshot of a private email exchange in which he apologized to Baldwin for “his part of a dis-agreeable situation,” to which Sullivan replied, “I’m too old for disagreeable situations. you’re one hell of a great actor. Alec is who he is. you are who you are. you two are incompatible. i should have known it. this one will haunt me. you tried to warn me. you said you were a different breed. i didn’t get it.”
