The 20-year-old Harper took Marlins starting pitcher Ricky Nolasco deep in the first inning and then again in the fourth, which resulted in a curtain call for the reigning NL Rookie of the Year.

The 24-year-old Strasburg gave up three hits and struck out three on 80 pitches. At one point, he retired 19 consecutive batters.

“Felt good,” Strasburg said of his performance. “Just trying to execute a game plan, they are going to be up there hacking. Fortunate enough to be making good quality pitches and getting some quick outs.”
