(BOSTON) — Just two months after Chaz Bono announced that he’d lost 43 pounds, Cher’s son is already down another 17 pounds and, he says, “[I’m] still slowly losing.”
Weight loss hasn’t always been easy for Bono, who announced in November that he wanted to lose between 50 and 80 pounds. Bono is 5-foot-5 1/2, and at the time, he weighed 250 pounds.
In a new interview with People magazine, the former Dancing with the Stars contestant, 44, says that in addition to martial arts training, he’s continued to dance for exercise.
But perhaps the most important part of his weight-loss regimen has been watching what he eats – and for Bono, that means using the Freshology-delivered meal plan.
Plus, “I cook a lot of different stuff,” he says. “Diets don’t work. You just have to change what you eat, and I have.”
For Bono, that means eating cleanly and avoiding “grains and starches.”
“Meats and vegetables are my diet,” he says. “I make them all different ways to keep it interesting.”
