(LOS ANGELES) — After hosting the Oscars this year, Seth MacFarlane immediately rejected the possibility of accepting the gig again in the future. Will he have a change of heart?
Deadline.com reports the Family Guy creator has been invited to return as Oscars host next year. He hasn’t yet said yes or no, according to the site.
MacFarlane’s reps previously denied to Deadline that he’d been asked back.
The fact that the producers of this year’s telecast — Craig Zadan and Neil Meron — will return for the 86th Annual Academy Awards certainly works in MacFarlane’s favor. However, as Deadline notes, MacFarlane is currently busy preparing for his next film, a comedy titled A Million Ways to Die in the West, which will star MacFarlane, Charlize Theron and Amanda Seyfried.
MacFarlane is also planning a sequel to his blockbuster 2012 comedy, Ted.
