Jobless Claims Rise to 354,000

Spencer Platt/Getty Images(WASHINGTON) — Jobless claims ticked up last week, rising by 10,000, the Labor Department reported on Thursday.
For the week ending May 25, the number of people filing for benefits increased to 354,000. The previous week, claims stood at 344,000.
The four-week average also went up, climbing by 6,750 to 347,250.
