Four Attacked By Bears in Separate Incidents

(ISLAND PARK, ID) – Four people were injured in two bear attacks in Island Park and Yellowstone National Park Thursday.Officials say two BLM workers were attacked in the Shotgun Valley area of Island Park. They later drove themselves to Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg with non-life-threatening injuries. In Yellowstone, two hikers stumbled upon a mama bear and her cubs. Though they had bear spray, one had to be hospitalized while the other was treated at the scene. The attacks come less than a month after a grizzly bear mauled a wildlife technician in Island Park.
