National Football League(NEW YORK) — After breaking his left ankle during San Francisco’s loss to Seattle Sunday night, 49ers nose tackle Ian Williams has been placed on the injured reserve.

The 49ers signed fullback Owen Maracic, who played for Niners head coach Jim Harbaugh at Stanford.

Marecic, a former fourth-round pick, played two seasons for the Cleveland Browns before being released this summer.

Glenn Dorsey becomes San Francisco’s starting nose tackle.

This is Dorsey’s first season in San Francisco after playing his first five for the Kansas City Chiefs.
