After finishing as the runner-up in the British Open and a World Golf Championship, and tying for third at the PGA Championship, Stenson is happy to finally have a trophy.

“I’m just pleased I won here,” said Stenson, who tied the tournament record at 22-under 262. “This was a big goal of mine to win a golf tournament after all those nice finishes. My family is here. I’m going to see my kids in a little bit. It’s all good.”

Tiger Woods shot 4-under for the tournament to finish in a tie for 65th.

“It wasn’t my week,” Woods said. “I didn’t play well and didn’t make anything, so consequently I wasn’t close to the lead.
