INL Fire Prompts Evacuation

(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – A small fire prompted an evacuation at the Idaho National Laboratory Friday night. Officials say the fire started in the Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment facility, which is managed by the Idaho Treatment Group. The fire was out by 8:45 p.m. and did not cause any significant damage. Authorities are looking into what caused the fire, but stress that there was no risk of a radiation exposure or a risk to the public.
