(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – Former presidential candidate Mitt Romney has endorsed U.S. Rep. Mike Simpson in his bid for a ninth term in Congress. The former Massachusetts governor praised Simpson’s service in the House as a “stalwart conservative leader.” Simpson was recently appointed as chairman of the House Appropriations committee on Energy and Water Development, which oversees funding for the Idaho National Laboratory. He faces a primary challenge from Idaho Falls attorney Bryan Smith next May.
