Debra Messing to Star in NBC Pilot “The Mysteries of Laura”

Peter Kramer/NBC(NEW YORK) — Debra Messing is set to return to NBC as the star of a new pilot, The Mysteries Of Laura, Entertainment Weekly reports.
The series will center on Messing as Laura Diamond, a homicide detective and mother of two.
The former Smash star will start filming the series in New York City after she wraps her Broadway production of Outside Mullingar.
