Four Injured in Washington Mudslide
Published at(OSO, Wash.) — A huge mudslide north of Seattle damaged at least one home and blocked off State Road 530 on Saturday morning.
The slide occurred south of Mount Vernon, ABC’s Seattle affiliate KOMO reports. The damaged house actually slid into the roadway. Crews responded to the scene to clear the roadway and aiding in the search and rescue of anyone caught in the mudslide.
According to Lt. Rodney Rochon of the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said that there were at least four people injured and three or four houses may have been knocked off of their foundations.
On Saturday afternoon, drivers were being asked to avoid the area until it is cleared.
