LeBron James Scores A Career-High 61 Points In Heat Win
Published at(MIAMI) — Heat forward LeBron James scored a career-high and franchise-record 61 points as Miami (43-14) scorched the Charlotte Bobcats (27-33) on Monday night, 124-107. It’s the eighth straight victory for the two-time defending NBA champions.
James went 22 of 33 from the field and made his first eight 3-point attempts.
“Feel like I had a golf ball thrown into the ocean, especially in that third quarter,” James said. “At one point I pulled it up behind the three-point line, probably like 30 feet and when that one went in, I knew I was in a really really good groove.”
James’ previous career high was 56 points, which he accomplished as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers against the Toronto Raptors on March 20, 2005.
