Brooke Burke-Charvet Okay After Car Accident

ABC/Todd Wawrychuk(LOS ANGELES) — Brooke Burke-Charvet crashed her Maserati this past Wednesday, but has assured fans she’s okay and wasn’t under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The 42-year-old former Dancing with the Stars co-host made light of the accident, even predicting the incident would gain a lot of attention.
“Rough morning. Accident on my wAy 2 work. Tons of cops & of course photogs, TMZ will have fun with this one … yes I was sober,” she wrote on Twitter.
According to TMZ, Brooke-Charvet drove her Maserati through a fence in Calabasas, Calif. The website reported that police said she passed a sobriety test.
Later Burke-Charvet tweeted, “I’m totally fine tweeties. What an exaggeration TMZ. Hilarious headlines, boy-what-you-guys-will-do. Just an accident. No biggie.”
She added, “Of course officers had me do a sobriety test. Thx CHP [California Highway Patrol] for taking care of all of us, too bad the photogs blow it out of proportion.”
Burke-Charvet co-hosted Dancing with the Stars for seven seasons before being replaced this year by Erin Andrews.
