Interstate Renamed to Honor Veterans

(BOISE, ID) — The next time you go drive on Interstate 84 in Idaho, you might see the signs calling it by its new name.
KTVB reports that the newly named Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway was dedicated Tuesday morning in a ceremony on the steps of the Idaho Statehouse.
The Idaho Legislature approved a bill naming Idaho’s portion of I-84 in honor of Vietnam War veterans. Gov. Butch Otter signed it in February, and it became effective on July 1st.
Now special signs are going up along I-84 across Idaho from Oregon to Utah.
