His cousin, former Three Dog Night musician Chuck Negron, made the announcement in an emotional video posted on YouTube.

Negron memorably played the pizza guy in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, which was released in 1982. A year later, he played the son-in-law of Rodney Dangerfield’s character in the comedy Easy Money. His other movie credits included The Last Boy Scout, Stuart Little and Angels in the Outfield. He also had roles in many TV series, such as Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm and The Hughleys.
