Justin Bieber to Be Subject of Comedy Central Roast

Allen Berezovsky/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Justin Bieber’s been providing comedians and talk show hosts with fodder for jokes for several years, but now it’s going to be organized: The Bieb will be the subject of the next Comedy Central Roast.
In a statement Tuesday, Comedy Central executive Ken Alterman said that the roast was Bieber’s idea, and added, “We just kept telling him to go create more source material first. We’re thrilled he listened.”
Bieber reiterated that in a tweet, writing, “For years I have wanted Comedy Central to roast me. They said only if I provided them w/ more material so for a year now I have worked hard.“
“Finally after all that hard work for my 21st bday it’s happening,” he added.
The roast will be taped in Los Angeles. Comedy Central has not confirmed a taping date, nor an airdate, but if it’s happening on Bieber’s 21st birthday, that means it will be March 1.
Bieber has already shown he has a sense of humor about himself, starring in videos for Funny or Die, appearing in sketches on Saturday Night Live, and laughing, via Twitter, at SNL’s parody this past weekend of his Calvin Klein ads.
