Tammy Meyers was shot outside her house after what Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said was a “road rage incident with another vehicle” as she was coming home from giving her daughter a driving lesson.

She was in critical condition on Saturday, the hospital said.

“This is where my wife lost her life. She hasn’t lost it yet, but — there’s nothing they can do for my wife because the three guys wanted to plow into a mother of four and come back and shoot her — follow her home and kill her,” Tammy Meyers’ husband Robert Meyers said Friday to ABC affiliate KTNV-TV in Las Vegas.

“She had to lose her life for what? I don’t understand it and nobody’s answered that question,” Meyers said. “I don’t feel safe, every time you turn around somebody’s getting shot.

“This was a mother of four, I loved her, and she was a good woman. And she didn’t deserve this because all she’s ever done is help people,” he added.

Meyers’ 15-year-old daughter ran into the house before the shooting, according to KTNV, and did not witness the incident.

Meyers was taken to University Medical Center of Southern Nevada with life-threatening injuries, KTNV reported.

According to KTNV, police are unsure of how many suspects were involved and the investigation was ongoing.

Las Vegas police did not respond to ABC News’ requests Saturday for comment.
