Netanyahu Calls for ‘Mass Immigration’ of Jews to Israel
Published at(JERUSALEM) — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in the wake of Saturday’s shooting outside a Copenhagen, Denmark Synagogue called for a “mass immigration” of Jews from Europe to Israel.
“Extremist Islamic terrorism has struck Europe again,” Netanyahu wrote on Twitter. “We send out condolences to the Danish people and to the Jewish community in Denmark.”

In a second tweet, Netanyahu wrote “we say to Jews, to our brothers and sisters: Israel is your home.” He added that “we are calling for the absorption of mass immigration from Europe.”

Denmark’s Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt disagreed, saying that Jews “belong in Denmark.” She added that they “are a strong part of our community and we will do everything we can to protect the Jewish community in our country.”
A 37-year-old man identified as Dan Uzan was killed outside a Copenhagen synagogue. Uzan was working as a security guard for a bat mitzvah party.
