Rosie O’Donnell Leaving “The View”

ABC/Lou Rocco(NEW YORK) — Rosie O’Donnell is leaving The View, just about five months after returning to the show.
ABC said in a statement that “when [Rosie] told us that she wanted to exit The View, we respected and understood her desire to put her well-being and her family first.” O’Donnell will still be “part of the ABC family with upcoming guest appearances on The Fosters,” ABC notes.
The New York Post‘s Page Six reported Friday that O’Donnell has split with her wife Michelle Rounds, and felt she must leave the daytime show to focus on her five children.
O’Donnell returned to The View in September 2014 after having left the show in 2007. Her return was part of a major shakeup for the show, which had seen Barbara Walters, Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd all move on, with Rosie Perez, Nicolle Wallace and O’Donnell coming on board.
